Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe audio recordings of medical assessments and evaluations into written reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to industry standards.

  • Review transcriptions for grammatical errors, formatting inconsistencies, and other quality-related aspects.

  • Verify and correct medical terminology and technical language to maintain the integrity of the medical reports.

  • Collaborate with medico-legal professionals to clarify any unclear audio or medical terms, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.

  • Meet deadlines and prioritize assignments effectively to support the timely completion of reports.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations while handling sensitive medical information.

  • Continuously enhance knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and relevant guidelines.

  • Communicate effectively with the team to address any transcription-related inquiries or concerns.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and organized documentation related to transcription processes.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in medical transcription is a plus.

  • Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist, preferably within a medico-legal or medical setting.

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and procedures.

  • Exceptional listening skills and the ability to accurately transcribe spoken content.

  • Proficiency in using transcription software and tools.

  • Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills to ensure accurate and professional transcriptions.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Familiarity with privacy regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling medical information.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with medico-legal professionals and address queries.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
